What is the VGS Vault?

A secure storage system that tightly controls access to any sensitive data stored within the VGS platform.

A network proxy built with a configurable series of filters to collect and protect sensitive customer data while decoupling and insulating their systems and applications from raw data.

How Does it Work?

Protect Data in Storage: VGS replaces sensitive data with an aliased version, which can be safely stored and used in the same way as the original data. VGS vaults the original data in its secure environment, thereby offloading liability and removing the risk of a data breach. VGS' transparent proxy intercepts data as it flows to your servers, redacting the sensitive data and replacing it with an alias while securing the original data in our vault.

Protect Data in Motion: VGS provides multiple methods to securely collect sensitive data, insulating customers from ever having it touch their systems, delivering quick compliances, and expedited go-to-market with financial products. Filters and operations like mTLS encryption protect data as it is transmitted from your application to its destination, whether it be over HTTP, ISO8583, SFTP, FTPS, S3 or other TCP-level protocols. Dynamic routing services enable switching between multiple third parties.

Securely Compute on your Data: Operate on and multiplex fingerprinted aliased data just like raw sensitive data. Through inherent API outbound requests, VGS re-inserts the raw data in place of aliased data in real time, and the destination endpoint receives the original raw data.

VGS Vault uses secure interactions as a pricing model. Each secure interaction represents the process by which VGS systems operate on a record (i.e. rule enforcement, redact, reveal, enrichment, deduplication). This includes all possible interactions and associated operations including, but not limited to: all rule evaluations, token interactions, or any other metered interactions deemed usage or operation by VGS.
