## Top Employers by US Metro Data Product Overview

This is an aggregation of the data available in our [Person Dataset](https://docs.peopledatalabs.com/docs/stats), which is a global set of B2B data. There are 384 defined US metros in our dataset. For each metro, we have aggregated the top 10 employers based on number of employees living in the metro.

## Use Cases

Because we have current and historic job and education data, our data is incredibly powerful both for modeling workforce change over time and running aggregations against how the current employment landscape looks. Our customers here can be canonicalized into a few categories

### "Future of Work"

Many of our customers are doing analysis on the relation between degrees, job titles, and skills, over time. Companies in this category are doing analysis to see what skills are in hot demand, helping individuals figure out what skills they should be getting, what training programs company should run for their teams, etc...

### Talent Advisory

Our data is used to help match supply to demand. We power both the supply and demand side of the market, helping model career journeys and answer where there are strong supply/demand indicators for different job roles. Our customers help their customers answer the question "how many people of X title are at Y location" at a very large scale.
