## Main Overview
This products consists of 4 datasets relating to access to food. Three of the 4 datasets are for populations within the United States. They consist of Food Security within the US, Food and Nutrition Service Programs within the US and The Food Access Research Atlas. One dataset consists of data for international food security among middle and lower income countries of the world.

### DEI-food-access-research-atlas
Presents an overview of food access indicators for low-income and other census tracts using different measures of supermarket accessibility;
Provides food access data for populations within census tracts; and offers census-tract-level data on food access that can be downloaded for community planning or research purposes.

### DEI-food-nutrition-service-programs
Provides selected statistical information on activity in all major Food and Nutrition Service Programs (FNS). These include the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP); the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children (WIC); child nutrition programs (National School Lunch, School Breakfast, Child and Adult Care, Summer Food Service and Special Milk); and food distribution programs (Schools, Emergency Food Assistance, Indian Reservations, Commodity Supplemental, Nutrition for the Elderly, and Charitable Institutions).

### DEI-food-security-international
This dataset measures food availability and access for 76 low- and middle-income countries. The dataset includes annual country-level data on area, yield, production, nonfood use, trade, and consumption for grains and root and tuber crops (combined as R&T in the documentation tables), food aid, total value of imports and exports, gross domestic product, and population compiled from a variety of sources.

### DEI-food-security-US
The CPS Food Security Supplement was conducted by the U.S. Census Bureau for the Economic
Research Service (ERS) of the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA). Supplement questions were
asked of all interviewed households, as appropriate. The supplement was intended to research the full
range of severity of food insecurity as experienced in U.S. households.
