Originally developed by the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD), the Reporting Exchange is one of the worlds largest collections of ESG regulations, reporting indicators, and authorities. The Reporting Exchange app and database covers national-level sustainability policies, sustainable taxonomies, ESG and climate disclosure regulations, supply chain due diligence obligations and ESG fund requirements.

To comply with the complex sustainability reporting landscape, clients will need to identify mandatory regulations for compliance management. ## Overview

The Reporting Exchange is a knowledge platform designed to help businesses navigate and understand the reporting landscape of provisions, including reporting regulations, standards, codes, tools, and guidance. The focus is primarily on sustainability reporting, but will also include securities laws, governance codes, stock exchange rules, guidance, methodologies, and other provisions to the extent that they are introduced, interpreted, or developed to support or include sustainability reporting and disclosure requirements. Provisions through the Reporting Exchange will be collected at national, regional, and international levels only.

The Reporting Exchange provides new, agreed language for describing the landscape and its components, accounting for the perspectives of all stakeholders.

Reporting provisions introduced at national or international level sometimes use different language to describe similar subject matter. This means that provisions that are similar or the same can appear to be different. The Reporting Exchange therefore aims to categorize various aspects of sustainability reporting provisions to:

- Ensure consistency across the platform.

- Enable comparison between provisions similarities and differences.

- Enable search functionality and navigation.

- Develop an understanding of the state of play and developments.
